As much as I like the Halloween series, I will not be getting this one 🙁 Maybe if I had a shot at the ZF one, maybe. This release really makes me cherish my ’05 Halloween that much more. I’ll take the money for this one and use it towards an ’04 Halloween at some point.
Would like to add that I like the new look of the site and that the comment cards are great! A place I worked at a few years ago kept a comments board up in the front showroom and it was a popular place on a daily basis for customers as well as employees.

No, Not yet. If it’s USPS, then maybe Monday. Nobody at the shop tommorrow. Got a cool calculator from a pen company though! Ha!
Can’t wait for it to roll in though. Sometimes the mail carrier calls me if I have a package on Saturdays so I can meet them at the shop. So I may get it tommorrow if I’m at home.

If by asking that, you’re wondering if it means a better number the quicker you order, the answer to that is, alas- no. I was 15 minutes into the FC500 & ended up with mid-300’s, while folks ordering *days* later got higher. No complaints- it is just an observation based on empirical evidence. If there’s a system to it, I’ll be hanged if I can figure it out 😉
Im out on this one. Unless I win the lottery or something. 🙂 100 bucks is a good price for these but just cant do it for a LOOONG time. Im kinda bowing out of the high priced bottles for a while. Things getting a little out of hand for me.
I know that Blair has been making hot sauce for years…but $100 to $150 a bottle for something you never open….what is in it?

Well, the trio thing I guess more than anything. I’m not fond of the “have to get all three” aspect of it. I always liked the ’05 just for what it was. It stands on it’s on as a Reserve. Nothing to do with an ’04, nothing to do with a Holiday, it’s just an ’05 Halloween Reserve. The ’06 just seems to be overhyped to me. I’m not one to jump on everything out there anyway. I’m a pretty selective guy. The ’06 just doesn’t trip my trigger as much I guess. Gonna be the same on the Holiday as well. Maybe if all three would have been released together as a set, or just the same amount of bottles and same color waxes per edition, then it would have been more appealing to me. With the different wax colors, just to many combinations out there and only 99 will have a chance at even having all three bottles, so I’m just gonna wait and see what’s in store for us in NM. I don’t even miss not geting a B-99 or N-59 or any of those, so it ain’t gonna kill me!
Wasn’t trying to dis on the Reserve, just offering up my feelings on it. There was a time I would have just skipped the thread, but I think it’s important to hear all opinions of something good, bad, or otherwise. I have the deepest respect for Blair and his products and I am always looking for the “next great thing” from him, but I think this one just wasn’t for me, not that it was wrong for Blair or anyone else, just wasn’t for me.

Well, that’s just the thing, it’s not about keeping up with a series to me, I think the Halloweens have stood on their own up until now. Never have sought after an ’04. But would love to eventually have one. But not because I already have an ’05. The value of an ’04 or ’05 isn’t affected by the fact that you have only one, or both. But the ’06 will be affected because if you only have it, and it alone, it becomes less desireable unless the other two come into play. So even though it is its own designation, it’s still a part of a set, and an incomplete one at that for most.
Please do not take my comments as anything negative against Blair and/or the Reserves. This one’s just not for me.

Ryan, I think it’s just me, seems most are anxious to get one. Wasn’t trying to rain on anyones parade, but just wanted to keep the comments real. Hi Freeze, not right yet, I’ll be doin’ a lot of traveling in the next upcoming weeks, don’t want to take something I won’t be consuming quickly. Thanks anyway though. 4th and final day of the Civil War shoot, got the musket match only today. The firing line is 1/2 mile long, with about 1,400 guys lined up at the same time. If anyone ever wanted to know what it felt like during any of the Civil War battles, this is it. I should be home around supper time tonight for those that placed orders since last Thursday. As far as value, I said it would be affected by the other two. Whether seeking them, or adding to them, it’s still affected by them. That was the main point I was making as for the value. I think that the linking of the three has detracted from each ones uniqueness in Blair’s line up. To me, uniqueness is what makes it a colectible. When it becomes the same as everything elase, then what’s the use? Same reason I do not collect regular off the shelf bottles unless there is a personal reason such as the manufacturer signing it, or it being a friends product, a gift, or part of a special occasion. Now if I wanted to spend some big bucks and open it, then the ZF, Halloween, Holiday all would be on my taste list. But that ain’t gonna happen! Ha! The cheap stuff satisfies my appetite for the burn just fine!
