Just a quick note to let you know about the status of the “Cutting Room Floor”. To date, we have over 300 entries and still more coming in ever day. I have decided to extend the end date by SIX days to February, 26th 2006 (Mainly because many Chilifriends want to display their new B-99 Reserve) We will announce the FIVE Lucky winners on Friday, March 10th 2006. I am aware we currently have only about 60 of the 300 plus entries up on the new “Collect” section on extremefood.com. But rest assured, if yours is not up yet it will be soon. I have a great bunch of people working on it.
On another note-I have been cooking up a Fire storm Ready to Debut my All New Salsa and Queso Dip in New Mexico on March 4th…along with the N-59 and lots of other fun stuff. It has been a couple of years since I have been at this show, so I thought I would do something special for it. Anyway that’s all for now.

This is GREAT news. I’m “stuck” in the Bahamas and can’t get pictures taken (my wife is nuts and had her camera packed weeks in advance).
Now I can submit (but looking at the entries I have NO chance – but it will be fun anyway.

Remember, there are 2 parts to Blair’s contest, and in part 2 (with pictures) Blair states:
Email Blair pictures of your hot sauce collection.
“I want to see what’s going on with it. It is not based on if you have all my products (of course, that does make it cooler). But whatever you have send all your details, when you started, how many bottles, your most prized, what people think of it, do your friends/family think your nutz, etc. send it all (info, photos, whatever!)” – Whether its one picture or fifty, send it in!
I have seen some excellent collection pics up here on HSB and thought, man I dont have a chance. Most of my sauces are packed in boxes awaiting the remodel of my family room. In fact, there is a pic of it on Blair’s site. (not to appealing).
But, I know Blair and he is an upstanding person and a #1 chilehead. He will give everyone a fair shot as it seems to be based on content and pics.
oh yeah, I ment march. I guess in my weakened state i miss typed…oh the agony…

Thanks Mad_Reilly. It won’t actually let me pay at the moment so I’ll try again soon. Just a quick question – how do u manage 2 get signed bottles (Jersey Death etc) from Blair? I’d love to have some but don’t want to pay loads off people on ebay etc. I don’t want numbered, just signed (or is it just for special people? 🙂 )

Oooo I fogot to say that I finally got my entry in. I doubt I’ll have much of a chance but it is definately worth a try. Imagine having some of those sauces!! Is Blair putting the winners on extremefood?

Crud…Lousy pics and my essay could have been better. I need a secretary!…lol
My pics were lousy, so I ain’t keeping my fingers crossed. I think it was a cool concept no matter win or lose. Just the way Blair got everyone stoked enough to share their passion for hot sauce was just amazing in itself. To me this was a little more than just a contest. It was a way to express myself about something I love and not worry about if anyone got it.
Ah hell, who am I kidding, I hope like hell I win! 😉
