As many of you are aware the “Cutting Room Floor” has been an incredible journey for me to look back at well over 100 Unique labels/concepts I have had in the last 17 Years. In doing so I came to the conclusion that To find only 12 labels for the 10 Cutting Room Floor Winners would mean that so many other labels and more important other Chiliheads would never see some of my wacky Ideas and thoughts. With that Said I have decided to offer 99 Sets Of “Cutting Room Floor” (These labels are Not included in the 10 Prize Sets)They are available for order NOW at www.extremefood.com. Five Unique Bottles Signed and Numbered for only $199.95. Yes, one of the labels dates back to 1989 . I am fully aware that these bottles could be sold on Ebay and the like for at least $150 per bottle, but I feel this gives the Chiliheads who entered the contest a way to get some really awesome and unique Collectables.(Plus if you choose to sell them because want to make $$$ Good For you.) Anyone may place an order for up to 1 Set.
However, please be advised those who have submitted entries to the “Cutting Room Floor Contest” will have First right. We will keep the orders open Until 9am est. on Friday April 14th. I.E. If 200 Chiliheads order in total and 50 are from the “Cutting Room Floor Contest” 49 sets will be made available to the first 49 Chiliheads that did not enter the contest based on the time the order was placed. It is 6:29 pm edt and no picture yet. I am sure that Blairs web site was overun this morning. I am sure it will take a while to sort out. I would have to say that Blair and his staff did a super job this morning with the posting of the Vintage collection, especially with all the Chiliheads refreshing every second to get first crack at purchasing. Way to go Blair and the Extreme Foods staff !!!!!!!!!!!

I would not be surprised if most of them were still being put together labelling signing takes a few days I am sure. 5 bottles x 99 thats allot of signing and numbering and labelling. He probably got the labels all in and has confirmation, and he was planning this for quite a while I would bet. He is pretty smart when it comes to marketing.

Hello All, What a Day in Death Sauce Land….SO here is some more info for ya. The Vintage bottles are actual labels that for whatever reason never went into production Some are even handwritten by me from 1989. The labels include- Death, Sudden, Jersey, Jalapeno and Mega. I have gone to great measures to ensure incredible reproduction. The labels will be hand applied to the proper sauce. So Yes the Sauces will be fresh and not from 1989. All sets will got out with assorted numbers No One will have all #1’s. Or 2’s etc. ….Funny Story Today– Suzi (My great Death Sauce Helper who makes my desk look almost normal until she leaves) takes a phone call today from “Blank Blank” A long time Chilihead with us… He tells her he will pay $2000. for a set of Vintage …She sweetly says” but they only cost $200.” and puts him on hold, comes over to my desk and says what should I do…I simply replied “tell him to place his order online and give $1800. to charity”……Feel Alive Blair
Oh and one more thing that tan looking thing I holding in my hands is discolored paper from 17 years ago…That is one of the reproduction labels you get….Also .I was going to show all the labels but I think it is more exciting for you to Rip open your package when it arrives and see whats comin…….Feel Alive Bliar

Even though I was not in the Cutting Room Floor contest, and never said I ever was, I can agree that only those that were, and put the time and effort into showing the world their collection, should be honored by the release. I for one am disappointed in myself for not sending Blair my pics of my collection. I can’t wait to see your masterpieces!!

If its any consolation, Thak, I’m still missing several Blair’s reserves, and some of them I will probably never have. If I’m not mistaken, you have quite a collection don’t you? I’m sure you have some items that I would be envious of. I’m disapointed in myself for not getting into collecting sooner, but that’s just the way it goes I guess. Remember, there’s supposed to be another contest coming up that you’ll have a chance at winning, as where I don’t.
Ryan, I guess I was ‘pigheaded’ into thinking if I displayed my collection I would be giving something away. See Eric’s it’s impossible to think I was that ignorant; though I’ve been ignorant to you as well.
I hope there is a “next”, as many of us sure hope will be.

4/18/2006 should be gettting some info from Blair on the vintage collection as long as it is all sorted out. Must have been a busy weekend for the folks at extreme food going through all the orders to verify who was in the contest.

I know this could be considered blasphemous, but has anyone else picked up on this sadistic side of Blair? I think he likes it when we get frantic- keeps us on our toes. Both Mrfreeze and I have biten our nails completely off and I have worn a rut in the carpet from pacing so much- “Throw me a friggen bone here, I need the info”. Me and a couple buddies played a great prank on a neighborhood watering holle a few years back. We all put on Tyvek suits and gas masks, I brought my trusty geiger counter, and one guy had a small styrofoam cooler filled with dry ice and a little bit of rubbing alcohol. We walked in and approached the bar. No one knew us with the masks on, and the guy with the cooler purposely dropped it and the dry ice smoke creeped all over the floor….Well, needless to say we weren’t allowed back for a while, but man, the look of abject terror on the faces of the barflies was worth it!

You joke, but I was talking about that earlier with Mrs Huvason. When it was BB (“Before Blog” 🙂 ) my goals were simple with my collection. Now I’ve learned so much more about other manufactures, collections, etc. That it is getting harder and harder to keep up. But like you – I will try.
For instance, without the blog, i never would have gotten the 10oz Blair’s DEATH collectible and others in my collection! I would never had known they existed until it hit eBay.

Hey all, just want to update everyone on the latest. We got a call tues morning from mrsemans mom saying here dad was ill and in the hospital. They found 2 masses on his brain and are waiting for more tests. Things don’t look good. We are in atlanta right now and don’t know when things will be back to normal.
