Before the ZERO’s were packed up and sent to their Port of Export, the Homunculus gave them a very nice send-off. His words of courage brought tears of condensation to the ZERO’s, whose emotions were running high, as their inevitable deployment was just around the corner. The Homunculus can be seen driving the troop transport to their Port of Export, and can be seen giving his children, the ZERO’s a fond adieu.

Things have been a bit hectic around here, as you can imagine, and now that the Homunculus’ children have been globally deployed, I can get back to other things. I met with Nick last Saturday, and we briefly discussed it. As I understood it, I’ll be coming out with 5 winning captions, and you guys will vote for the one winner. Be careful what you wish for, as vindication will be mine!
The Merciful Homunculus called me yesterday to say he wished I wouldn’t have missed out on getting a Zero. Then he told me to stop being a sissy and crying about it. 🙂

I don’t believe that the creator has had the zero’s tested. I’ve never tried the ZERO – hoping to dip into the creator’s stash on Saturday. I’m guessing batch 2 is hotter than batch 1.

What makes you think that batch 2 is hotter than 1? I was looking through my pharmaceutical codex earlier and it tells you how to extract the capsaicin from chillies – I might give it a try if I can get strong enough ethanol – without methanol in it – I don’t intend to blind people. lol

Well I’m happy to report that there was a pleasant surprise on my doorstep when I got home. ZERO Batch #2 has arrived safely. Love the packaging (it tastes good too). The certificate of Authenticity is great!

OK folks, here we go. I was in conference with the Homunculus this morning, pondering various metaphysical ideologies. Within the torrent of alchemical references we were bantering back and forth about, it hit us…we have a couple of ZERO BATCH #2’s left. The reasoning behind this is for various reasons that I won’t get into, as some may be slightly embarassed if I did. We will be bringing them to Defcon Day on Saturday.
I would like to take the time out now to thank you all for your interest in this little bundle of joy. We have received numerous e-mails stating you guys really like what you got. These ZERO things are a personal thing, as a lot of thought goes into the making and packaging of them, as most of you have commented on. I thought the edible packaging was quite funny actually. Anyway, thanks once again…

I prefer to think of it as home defense. Actually, I only kept 1 of each batch for myself. There is another vessel, unlike the one that resides in your home, that holds the over-run. I use this to draw tears from the crowds at various Defcon Days, as the testosterone-filled nimrods flock to my booth, incessantly chanting, not unlike the characters in a Ceceil B. DeMille film, “I can eat anything hot”. I then fill their minds with new ideas, whilst cleaning out their tear ducts at the same time. ‘Tis an overwhelming sense of happiness to The Creator to see an individual set straight into the world of reality, and to see his friends laugh at him, as his face becomes covered in various facial fluids, humbled and overly embarrassed, but nonetheless saved from future thoughts of self-mutilation.

It was a fluke. Almost sent it back. DC was kind enough to give me the option to keep it. The guys at work talked me into keeping it. My eyes almost popped out of my head when the mail lady walked in with two packages instead of one.
Sorry Aaron, Im just having fun. See, HSB is a great place, but to much knowledege is not always a great thing. Sauce collecting is becomming trickier by the week and everything seems to be exposed for all to see.

Highly unlikely, as after I made the 8, I had a small amount remaining, and used it on various testosterone-filled idiots who told me they could eat anything hot, and then going into near epileptic convulsions when they tasted it. I’m not saying this stuff is 10 million Scovilles or anything, but it’s HOT. I think what sets our stuff apart from many others is the fact it is all created by hand (NO electrical machines), and it takes a few months to make. As I had previosuly stated, the next batch will be substantially larger as we have perfected a device which will increase our harvesting amount (yes, I’m working on a patent for it).

I figured that was his plan, so I mad it hard on him. It wasn’t really that hard to give it up, he’s a good guy and is really interested in starting a collection, so I thought it would be a good start instead of a run of the mill type of sauce, or a super expensive Blair product off of eBay. I have a friend in a neighboring town that I gave a Frostbite 4 to for Christmas and he nearly flipped. I don’t even have one of those on my shelf. I came real close to giving him one of the two LeMillions, but that would have been just plain wrong. He alwys liked the Frostbite and Magma bottles, so I knew he would flip over the Frostbite 4.
Besides, I believe that you reap what you sow.

Creator, that is very impressive! You’re reserve fetched more than many of Blair’s often do. You have definitely carved a niche in the collectors world, even if it was unintentional. I think your sauces are going to start popping up a bit more often now that the owner’s know what they’re worth(pmac, chris k 🙂 ) Now we’ll have to see if huvason still has trouble letting go of his!
Adam, nothing is unintentional when it comes to marketing. Lets not forget that the “CRAPalacky” also fetched a pretty large bid…”more than many of Blair’s often do”. To carve a “niche” in the collector’s world, one should never shun anyone that retails a product you provide. First rule of marketing. Carry a set of knee pads and chapstick for EVERY one of your customers. Building relationships with all your customers, not just the bigger ones **cough**SNS**cough** is vital to a business’s success. Some people just don’t get this.

Hi Ryan, well, I think the price the Batch #1 went for was a little unexpected however, The Createss didn’t believe me until I showed her the auction. Marketing is a VERY big part of business, and getting your name out there is by far the hardest part. I would LOVE to do Defcon Days every weekend across the nation, I really would. Perhaps if and when I ever get rid of one of my day jobs, that will happen, but as it stands, living in the northeast with approx. 65% of the US population within short driving distance, it’s a good place to get a foothold into the market. I am kind of amazed however, at how far Defcon has come in only a little over a year. Wait until you see the packaging on the Batch #3!

Agreed, having 2 of them is quite rare. Like I said, I don’t know exactly how many were opened, but I have been told over time by several people who opened theirs, and there are at least 8 that have gone to the Other Side. Oh, we just got all the raw materials and started working on the packaging for the Batch #3 that will be released in Hillsborough on Sept. 9th. Man, it’s gonna be funny as Hell, and MUCH different than the first 2 releases. A good amount more ‘stuff’ in the vessel (I think I mentioned we created a new cold press and tweaked our distillation methods, of course with the inclusion of dry ice, so our harvests will be substantially larger…Not to mention the requests I got for larger bottles), and some rather eye-catching packaging. There will be a few more made as well, so people won’t feel as bad opening one.

Well, the fact is there were a handful of people at Defcon Day and they all knew each other so I couldnt have been there 🙂

Let’s see. The Huvason kidnaps the Defcon mascot and blames it on a number of inanimate bottles. Then, when cornered, shifts blame to his wife, who is currently being mind controlled by the plastic bobblehead that The Huvason kidnapped. Meanwhile, unknown to us at the time, Chris K snuck into the last Defcon Day incognito, and drugged Mad, forced him to divulge his address, drove to his house and acquired his hot sauce collection. Realizing he didn’t use the “roofie” and that Mad will remember what he looked like, he locks Mad in his basement and ties him to the wall with the firehose Jim gave to him.
Man, you just can’t make this stuff up…
