Preston & Steve’s Fire in the Hole Hot Sauce – Signed
In the first Collector’s Corner, Chris was kind enough to tell us about the Fire in the Hole Hot Sauce made by WMMR. Here’s the latest from Chris:
I made it to the radio station today and the meet the WMMR morning crew. All of them signed a bottle for me. Maybe not a big deal, but I believe its the only signed bottle in existence. Most people wouldn’t find that exciting or special except for the true sauce collectors that frequent the HSB. I can send you a pic if you wish and maybe put it up? I hung around for about 40 minutes, but did not get to plug the blog on air. They had to much to get through on their show. Not to pest you, I had to tell someone who would really care. (the loyal chileheads on the HSB). ~ Chris

While you working on sending your collection pictures to Blair, you may as well send them on to the HSB and show off your collection to the other chileheads. Submissions can be sent to nick ‘@’ hotsauceblog.com.
Include a brief description of your collection and we’ll post it for all to drool over. Previously posted collections can be seen here. If you’ve sent in pictures lately, we’ll get them up soon, I promise – still recovering from Super Bowl Wing OD.
Reminder – please send your requests for collector’s items and/or for sale notices using the contact form. Leave a comment if you have a bottle that some is looking for (or you could use the form as well) and we’ll put you in touch.

I am in the process of bidding on one of those Blair’s reserves on ebay at the monent. 🙂

Sorry Scott…Thought I had an extra one but no go.
MikeG: Let me know what you’re looking for. I’ve been looking for a ’04 Holiday Reserve at a decent price. Just post what you’re looking for, and I’ll tell you if I have it (or them). 🙂
ryan – email me at mgreenberg@bdo.com with what you are willing to trade. i am very open to ideas and i want this bottle to go to a true chilihead. get back to me as soon as you can
Hey Chris of Preston & Steve hot sauce stories…I’d love to quote you on the Philadelphia MetBlog.
Could you comment here to give me permission or deny permission to quote your stuff?
Hi Suzanne, Thats fine. Use what you need.
If you include the part
“today and the meet the WMMR ” it should read “today and met the WMMR”
Like I said, it was pretty cool of Preston to do this for me. I mentioned to him (e-mail) that their sauce was on HSB. (I sent Nick an e-mail about it so other collectors (not from Philly area) would be able to get a bottle if they wanted) Preston thought that was pretty cool and checked out HSB.
A couple of weeks went by and I sent him another mail asking if he could sign and send me a bottle of their sauce. He said stop by one morning. I made arrangements and next thing I knew, I was there picking up my signed bottle. Awesome, and as the listeners of Preston and Steve would say:
“You Guys Rock!”
You just never know how far hot sauce collecting can take you. Like I said to Nick, I knew the people on HSB would understand as others think Im nutz…
I am only spreading the “hot sauce” word.
chris
Anyone interested in listening to an excellent morning show (no matter where you live), check out http://www.wmmr.com and click on listen live. They stream over the internet. (6-10 am eastern).
As they say “give them a week”
They also have podcasts available.
Anyone on here go by the name of “towncook” on ebay. If so, ITS ON!!!!!! 🙂
Hey everyone, here is what I am still looking for
1 – Original bags(empty or full) of blair’s chips
2 – Signed and numbered 2am w/ red on black wax
3 – Original Beyond Death Sauce 1993
4 – Any old product literature or magazine articles
5 – Old lable death sauce w/ small eye on it
6 – Signed Sweet Death sauce
Ive got a sweet death #33 of 36 but I just dont think I can let that one go.
Yeah – Sweet Death #2 or #4 (can’t remeber) took an unfortunate turn for the worse when it hit our floor, so any bottles that are out there are that much more valuable I would say.
I have Sweet Death numbers 1, 9 and 14.
MSK, what would you be willing to part with them for?
eman1stkc@earthlink.net
Was looking at 3 am on ebay, then I noticed mine has black, red and orange wax!
Anyone else?
eman-is your 3 AM with the 3 colors numbered?
MSK my email address is in a post above, please email me with what you would want for one of those sweet deaths. i am very very interested
Ryan – Still interested in the 2004 holiday reserve? email me either way. my address is above
Yeah it’s #9708
cool Eric, didn’t know the black layer made it on the bottle before they stopped numbering them.
I got #219 Caldera on Ebay today!!! Kind of excited about that. Everybody ready for the Fiery Food Show?????
Hey guys, also looking for death sauces with white band on each side of lable.Need jalapeno, salsa de muerte and origional death.
Hey eman, cant you still get those from Blair? Or did he change the lables again?
Nevermind eman, I just went and got some jalapeno and I guess he changed the labels. Ill see if I can find some old white stripe label ones around at the hot sauce store I goto. I need a white stripe jalapeno one myself.
cool,thanks for checking
since the sweed death is already white, you have to look at the “BLAIRS” to see what font size it is
there is a store above ciccinati ohio called jungle jims they have still have caldare, both holiday reserves and the gold skulls in the display cases
