With the 2006 labels gone to the wind, the 2007 Ultimate blog sauce labels have been quietly making their way around the country. This time around the mailing is being handled in a much different manner. This time around, there is only one set of labels going around the country and every time they land at a chileheads door – that chilehead has to reach out to me to let me know they have them in order to find out who to send them to next – this way there’s a track record of who has them and who is going to get them. And I must say, it’s worked quite well so far. In fact, at the rate that this is going, we will have the bottles completed by Christmas.
Which brings me to my next point – anyone out there that wanted to get in on this not yet sign them? Beyond Jim C., who will be getting the labels shortly. My original list will now be finished once Jim signs them, so I want to make sure that no one was missed this go around. And if you were, my apologies – just let me know and we’ll get these labels to you asap.

i want to get in on this also, i didnt even realize that a 2007 bottle was being done, do they get sold after they are all sighned or where they pre orderd before. i hope i didnt miss my chance!

There was a statement that the labels could be picked up at the festivial and that you could sign the new ’07 ones if you wanted.
Isn’t it about time that Nick or someone comes clean on what happened to the E to W and W to E batches. After I signed them they were just about finished.
I am just afraid that these will also to lost and kept for someones gain, whatever that may be.
The first Members of the BLOG were to have something special in this collectible label.
Now this label is for what? It is already being sidetracked to others and as people come aboard the blog it will go ON AND ON AND ON.
Well Henry, there does need to be a stopping point. Im not sure what that is. I know in the 2006 labels there was a list, but the Blog was much smaller then. I know, even then, a few people came out of the woodwork to wanna sign the bottles. There was a decision that had to be made on that because the idea was to have regular HSB’ers sign it. The HSB welcomes new people, but at the same time there isnt a hard-deadline of who to let sign it. So, I think we need a deadline (a date), or say its limited to anyone that wants in and made a post before (such and such date). Otherwise, its never-ending. Besides, there will be a 2008…
And I cant not mention the HSU bottle that a few of the “oldies” signed. Sorry TC since you are the oldest out of the 4 of us. Im not talking age, just old times on here 😉 eman, ryan, TC, and I knew the bigger the project, the tougher it would be to accomplish. Thats why we did our own thing. So thanks guys, cause in a month we signed, sealed, and delivered it! 🙂
Im not sure where the other 2006 “set” is or ended up. That was one of the issues that was thought about. Cause it would suck if they didnt all make it back.

I by no way want you to be left out. The point here is that how in the world can anyone accomplish a 2007 bottle with no guide lines. Anytime someone asked a question about 2006 (which had a reason to be done)
They were just put off with some crazy answer, (about them being available at the show) and than all of a sudden they disappear. Did anyone get a 2006 bottle? Nick had said that some were done. Those that signed the 2007 at the show were to be given the chance to buy their copy of 2006 while supply last. (WHAT HAPPENED) i Feel that some of the projects don’t go far if it does not benefit.

Henry – 1/2 the bottles were at the show and I may have 1-2 bottles from that set remaining. I’ve promised Cheffy I’d look for them amongst our still unpacked boxes and I’ll do the same for you. As for the 2nd set of labels (for the 1st bottle), those are still MIA

What would have been so hard in saying that all along, and true to my guess is that the main players got theirs so why ask any questions or tell anyone that they were even there and given out. How many were given out to people who weren’t even on the list. This is somewhat sickening the way you have went about this. Like a politician on major issues(Don’t answer/change topic)
There was 29 name on each list (same names moved around) So way isn’t there 29 people with a bottle? If one list did make it ok. I have not heard from one of the BLOGGERS who admitted that they go theirs. This is a great cover up. WHOA

I got mine in NM Henry. And yes, it does suck that not everyone received their bottle. Last I heard the labels were found and on their way back to Nick. Ryan (angrypepper) was the last one on the East to West list and was the last person to post in the tracking thread that he had them. Next person would be Nick. I have a copy of the East to West list that I made when it came through me, and it took less than five minutes to look at the tracking thread. So why has it been so hard for someone to figure out what happened to the labels? They disappeared between Ryan and Nick. Simple. What happened exactly is the only question left.

THANK YOU DK!!! From you I would have expected no less. You finally let the cat out of the bag. So now we do know that the 2006 labels are not—MIA!!!! Just lost because of it being a lot easier than finding out the facts. And to disperse them at a manufacturers get together, instead of sending them out to each individual on the list, like is was going to be. YES IT SUCKS!
The way I see it the 2007 labels should be put on hold until the first project get finished. We can always be known as the ones who could not get the job done.

Henry – The bottles only went to folks who were on the list who were at the show – no “new” folks were added or given a bottle. As I said, I know I have 1-2 bottles left and will find those – but that 2nd set of labels never made it back to me. I’ve reached out to Ryan as I’m sure others have and have not heard anything.
And the 2007 ones shouldn’t be put on hold because the other set didn’t get finished, we learn and move on. The 2007 set have moved on and is being tracked in a much better manner this time around.
