Soooooooooooooo here we are just a few days from the West Dean chilli fiesta, and Gerald from The Chilli Pepper Company (www.chileseeds.co.uk)has kindly asked me to review these two new exclusive products of his that will be launched at the fiesta this coming weekend! One is a tipple and the other is another of his legendary sauces!
Ingedients Looney Juice: Chilli, Vodka.
Ingedients Fully Loaded: 75% Butch T Scorpion Chilli, Citric Acid, Salt, Vinegar
As you can see from the ingredients list, these two products are pretty minimal on ingredients, the “Fully Loaded” sauce comes in a lovely wavy red bottle and is affixed to a certificate of authenticity, the “Looney Juice” comes in a bulbous bottle and have a lovely pinky red hue to it and you can clearly see the capsaicin at the bottom of the bottle.
I will let the following video do the talking as i believe these two products definitely have to be experienced, rather than written about, so here you are!
There is not an awful lot to say about the products as they are both very simple in both ingredients and presentation, no silly stuff in here, just a nice pouring sauce that really gives you the flavour of the chilli, and a vodka that is stupidly hot and would do well mixed with other things, like drinks for escaped lunatics, or perhaps a hot toddy for lucifer himself?
As you saw, the sauce hit me pretty hard but perhaps due to that, the looney juice probably didn’t have its full effect on me, and due to my mouth already being aflame, i was able to handle the vodka pretty well! Don’t be fooled though, it’s damn HOT! You can buy both these products at this weekends “West Dean Chilli Fiesta” taking place in chichester.
Well there you have it my chilli padawans, another couple of quality products from the lovely folks over at the chilli pepper company, alas i am not sure on the cost of them as they haven’t been officially launched yet, i estimate around £5-£8 for each of them though, and well worth it too! Hopefully you and i shall meet at the chilli fiesta this weekend, and if not, why not??
