There you have it folks, Blair’s B-99 Reserve. Now the picture above doesn’t quite begin to do justice to the wax on this beauty. Each bottle has been layered with black and white imported wax. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, each bottle has been drizzled (by hand) with bronze and silver wax. These bottles were going to originally retail for $200, but because of the Holiday Reserve debacle, Blair has once again gone above and beyond for the chilehead community and delivered each of the B-99 reserves for $106.95 (w/shipping).And on the shipping end of things, folks who recieve one of these direct from Blair will notice a change in the shipping method. Each B-99 is shipped OUT of the display box, wrapped in thick bubble wrap and packed in a ton of peanuts. The boxes these are shipped in are 4 times the size any other reserve has been delivered in. And all of this is just to protect the wax! So remember, it’s cold outside, so please let the Reserve warm to room temp before you open it. This should help protect the wax from breakage.

WOW! It’s like the blacksheep teenager the Blair’s reserves…the kid that goes out and gets tatoos and peircings. The bottle looks awesome! Hail to the king baby.
You can’t see it but I have my “O” face on right now!
My wife is going to kill me
I just bid on ebay, I got to have this
That’s the prettiest Reserve I’ve ever seen. Seriously….that’s AWESOME.
Hey Nick, is that the #88 bottle that is pictured?
Yes, its 2am…thank work for waking me up!
Since I was on the PC anyway, had to check into the “blog”.
That looks awesome!!! I can’t wait for mine to arrive. Let’s just hope its flight isn’t too bumpy
MMMMMMM, looks like candy!!!!
what’s written under the number on the one in the picture?
#11 is in my greedy little hands…i would say mor butt my hands are still shaking
MattUK – Blair wrote “Feel Alive” under the number
Tracy C, You are leading the B-99 pack right now.
Nice #!
I have a feeling I know whos gonna win the #35 on ebay. coughMADcough.
# 60 b-99 here
Beautiful wax job! What’s under the hood? With all of the talk about what the B-99 was gonna look like, I don’t recall reading what the contents were gonna be. Maybe I just missed it. I still love my Holiday bottle, but I did feel a twinge of envy when I saw the B-99 bottle though!
DK
Hey Chris K, I never thought it would feel so good to be a loser! lol…the wax on this bottle is a true work of art! I expected cool…but not this COOL!! Blair has raised the bar on this reserve!
I was thinking about that (Tracy C). I received a Holiday Reserve, but in some cases I think the B-99’s are better (they certainly have a much nicer look to em). Im thinking they will be worth more because many of the people that got Holiday Bottles will pay top $ to also have a B-99.
Maybe I could send my Holiday bottle back to Blair and he could “trick-out” my bottle for me?
I smell a new TV show on Food Network, “Pimp my sauce!” ๐
DK
I agree. The B-99 is the one to have. Never offered directly to the public, cooler looking, selling for more already in the aftermarket. Winner = B-99. ๐
So, what’s in the bottle? 4 of them listed as being in someones hands, does anyone know or even care about what’s under that crazy wax get up? I KNOW there has got to be more to this than just a wax change to have been originally planned for a $200 price tag. Or am I just asking to much here? ๐
DK
Why its colored syrup, all the $ for production went into the wax! (just kidding Blair)
Who would really ever know?as no one will open one of these!
Pour it on your Pancakes and find out….(And watch your explode….On the Bottom of the bottle is a list of ingredients… I will post next week on extremefood.com a more detailed list of the compounds and scoville ratings that make up the B-99. I have had so many emails from Chiliheads around the world about this bottle..(On a side note I could not believe how fast my ( friend ) with number 35 had it on ebay…..You are a quickster……..Feel Alive
(And Watch your Head Explode)
Hey Blair, maybe you should bottle some of that magic potion (B-99) in a regular bottle for those (willing) to experiment.
That way we would not ruin a B-99 to find out.
very cool – how does one get one?
I’m so dead! My wife is going to kill me. I’m going to have to get a second job to pay for my hot sauces. I got to get a B-99
๐ Wish I had one to try on my pancakes! ๐ I was one of the “lucky” few who got a Holiday Reserve, so I can’t read the bottom of one. When the Holiday was ewlwased, the bottle contents was known from the get go. It’s just amazing how well this one has gone over without knowing the contents. After all the fuss over the situation with the Holiday Reserves, it’s nice to see the B-99 creating such an impact. Blair, I remember that you said that the people receiving the B-99 would “be very happy!”. I believe that was an understatement. I am looking forward to reading about the contents of the bottle in the near future.
DK
I wonder what number B99 will be at my door step today. (I hope today).
The #35 has spilled over the $400 mark with a bit more than 3 hours to go….
We have a winner:
Winning bidder: hfksonny68 for $406.25
Is this anyone from HSB?
This person now owns both bottles
(Holiday and B-99), check their feeback
So this is not for sale retail? You have to get it on ebay?
Yes and no. This bottle was sold as a replacement to those who ordered a 2005 Holiday Reserve and did not get one. There were only 99 of each produced.
Check out this section of HSB and read through the comments (155 of them), this will help explain it to you.

Can’t wait until I receive my #35 B-99 that I just
purchased from EBay. It will look great along side of 2005 Holiday/2004 Holiday Reserve/Caldera
Chris: I am hfksonny68, reference comment 30/33
Good job Henry, you own some of the finest bottles.
Another 05 holiday reserve on ebay!!!!!
What can I do to get one of these?
The Holiday Reserve Sold for $350 – Looked like #66 to me, even though the seller didn’t want to reveal the number to buyers.
OK, I was just informed that my B99 is waiting for me at home!!!!!!!!! Once I get off work and home ill let you guys know what number it is.
Always nice to come home to a package from Blair…
b brigden
The best you can do now is wait for a bottle to show up on ebay and bid on it. The $ wont be cheap as many people here on the blog are also interested in owning one of them. Good Luck!
Scott – What state are you in? I’m expecting a B99, but I’m in OR and I don’t know the exact date that it shipped. Thanks in advance!
I am in Jacksonville Florida.
Well I’m glad (not realy) I didn’t win #35. My wife said it’s either the b-99 or go to New Mexico. Congrats Henry, but you’re lucky I was’nt home on the puter when the auction ended. Enjoy it!
Well Number 45 B99 is in my hands!!!!!!!!!
I’m gutted – Ive just had a phone call from my dad to say that I have a Blair’s box waiting for me at home – the problem – I’m 200miles away in university!!!!
Still haven’t been charged for mine, heard anything, etc….wonder what’s up? Seems like everyone has gotten theirs but me. :/
I just got mine #59. What a beauty.
Ryan B. – I haven’t received mine yet, but I was charged on 01/10.
#90 arrived today. While he didn’t know what number he’d be getting, a friend made me an offer to buy his. I won’t say for how much, but I will say it was an offer I couldn’t refuse under any circumstances. So…at the risk of enticing bodily harm on myself…..I now have both the Holiday and the B-99!
Nevermind. They did charge my card on 1/17. Don’t know how I missed that one. Guess I just thought it would have been here by now.
B-99 #99 is on ebay. Starting bid is $1500 buy it now is $2000
Link.
Speak of the devil….hahaha. Just got here today! Beautiful. I’m now the proud owner of bottle #21 of B-99 Reserve. ๐
If you look closely, you’ll find #91 on ebay as well…I also can confirm #7 is in the hands of a Very Happy person.
Got my dirty little hands on bottle #53 that showed up at my doorstep today!!! Man that thing looks excellent! Blair has outdone himself again!!!
Today was my lucky day UPS was kind enough to drop off two packages. My B-99 and Hot Blog Sauce…both #14….HELL YEAH! My hat’s off to Blair and Nick for bringing joy back into my life ๐
Looks like at least one B-99 was broken open during shipment.
Link
DK
LOL, thats what happens when you open one. ๐
Thats not cool…
That thought has crossed my mind before. Not fire, just the “heat” (capsaicin). If a bottle would break (leak through the box) and get on someones unproteced hands or eyes?
If USPS or UPS ever question this, it may cost a whole bunch more to ship these as they could be considered hazardous. If they ever banned them from shipping, we would all be in trouble…
…..The roof, The roof, The roof is on fire
Hey Nick, not that this really matters, so don’t worry about changing it. H is my middle initial, Last name starts with D. H is cool though ๐
How come on e-bay capsicumtoo is selling B-99 reserve #99 and in a set he is also selling a B-99 included #91 how does he have 2 b-99 reserves when you were only allowed 1????? I wonder
I think “Tasethepain.com” got 2 or more because its a company that sells hot sauce and if there is more than 1 employee in the company then it is possible to have 2 for sale.
That’s exactly what happened Scott. Robbing the collectors so they can turn over a profit. There was no mention of #’s 1 and 99 being sold for inflated prices from blair, so to try and get a $1400 return on #99 is just wrong.
Yeah I do have to agree. People surely will say “they didn’t do anything wrong….they just ordered them under different names of employees”. That’s loophole CRAP though. They should go to collectors. Not someone who just wants to make a buck. Legal? Yes. LAME? Yes.
Preach on brotha! amen
That CNN story about the plane got me thinking…(i know, dangerous thing me thinking). The contents of B-99 have not been disclosed. The label is a plane…perhaps a bomber even…what if the secret ingredient in B-99 is nitroglycerin? It would make sense, and Blair is crazy enough to do it! It would bring new definition to “explosive hot”
I heard if you look at your B-99 the wrong way that it will explode. Its got an attitude.
Got mine today
#64
I see a movie coming out of this- Curse of the monkey’s paw II: The vengeful hot sauce
Weapons grade hot sauce, think it could be Willie Pete? There was a big stink about this stuff being used in Iraq, maybe Blair got his hands on some.
Willie Pete

B-99 #29 on ebay
Link.
The seller of the above mentioned auction claims that the B-99 has an SHU rating of 9 mil. Anyone have any idea where he would have received this info? Have yet to get an official word from Blair about the heat this thing is packing…perhaps UPS commented ๐
Hmmmm…in comment #23 by Blair, he DID say that if you taste the b-99, “your head would explode”. This means that if anyone that tries to do a review on this sauce, wouldn’t live to tell about it! Come to think of it, Blair actually said, “watch your head explode”! How is this possible? Any volunteers to do a review? If so, please leave us a video! As of now, I think I’ll just admire the beauty of this little BOMB!
That must be what happened to the plane. One of the crew decided to taste it! Honestly, I would be angry to an extent if someone did a review. We know what the reserves tast like, and there’s only 99 of them. Had it been a full 999 run, ok, but there’s too few to be detroying. That’s just my opinion. I admire these bottles like a piece of fine art that was created with a great deal of feeling. To open one would be devastating…like painting a mustache on the monalisa.
Making a joke out of a small disaster is not cool in my opinion.
The joke is about what is or is not in the B-99, lighten up. No one said that what happenned to the cargo plane was funny, I think everyne would agree that it is great that the pilot was able to make an emergency landing with a fire on board. With all the talk on here about broken bottles, no disclosure of the B-99 ingredients (yet), and the timing of the shipping of the B-99, the story just fit.
It’s all good though, opinions are like hot sauce, everyone here has one. ๐
Thak- there was no intention to offend anyone. I’m sorry that I, or anyone else, came off as making fun of the plane fire. As MSK stated, the timing for everything was too perfect. The sad thing about life is that not everyone has the same taste in humor, or interpretation of peoples’ words. You’re free to express any opinion you may have and I appreciate your willingness to share it, Your point is taken.
B-99 #61 on ebay. bidding started at $0.99 with no reserve. This may be someone’s chance to get one at a decent price. Here’s the link:
Link.
In ref to comment #77..I needed a good laugh yesterday and DK provided the entertainment! Thanks DK! You made my day.
Ok, back to a topic actually dealing with the B-99 (hehehe): Where are all of these people getting the supposed 9.0 million Scoville rating? I thought it hadn’t been released yet?
As MSK stated, the timing….
For the record…that was DK’s comment, not MSK. But what the hey! Stuff happens ๐
DK, MSK, people with their damn initials ๐ That was like the last thing I did before bed and was too lazy to double check
Ryan B.-Dont know. Been wondering the same thing. Maybe its all the 9’s…B-99, 99 made, 9 ladies dancing, etc…
Alright! I’ve had enough! Would someone please tell me how to post a stupid link and how to create these stupid little smiley faces. I made one in my last post by accident. So I know it has something to do with what I type. Is there a legend or book somewhere titled “Stupid Smiley Faces for Dummies”?
๐
Ryan,
Blair said the ingredients are on listed on the bottom of the bottle (comment #22), what’s that #14 got on it?
MSK – Check out this link for more information on smiles. Not all work, but most should.
And to post a link you need to put it within the HTML that’s allowed. (see above)
Ingredients are: Soybean oil, capsacin, habanero, corn syrup. Still don’t have an official heat rating though
MSK- : ), ๐ = :), ๐
oops, screwed that one up… : ), : -P = :), ๐
DK: The ingredients ARE on the bottom. There’s no mention of a Scoville rating though. For the record, you can see pure capsaicin crystals in the bottle (and that’s one of the ingredients listed: Capsaicin crystals). ๐
:^D
^
WHATEVER!!!!!! ๐
Hmm, the mention of capsacin in the ingredients is intriguing. The description for the 2005 Halloween reserve mentions it, but it isn’t on the bottle in the ingredients list. The 2005 Holiday Reserve mentions a “layer of 12.8 million Scoville units that has been gently heated to be able to flowโฆ” but not called capsacin in the description. It also doesn’t list it in the ingredients.
Seems there is definately something special about the B-99! Can’t wait for the final say from Blair on what this stuff is for sure now.
Anyone else noticing funky with ebay? I’ll refresh the screen and it will show 120 some odd items. I’ll be able to look at all 3 pages of stuff, but if I refresh again, it goes back to 1 page of only 34 items….something is afoot.
Check this link out on the RED AND BLACK 2am. Pretty low number for a 2 tone 2am. Its an old ebay listing.
Link.
I have a #751 in the 2am.
OOPS! Sorry…I’m don’t have the two tone.
I thought Blair said he was going to update his site this week with a Scoville rating and more info about the B-99? Hmm…maybe he’s just waiting till the last minute. ๐
Here’s comment #100! only 56 more to go til this thread ties the o5 holiday reserve thread in popularity ๐
I wana know wha number my B-99 is!! Think I’m gona have to take a road trip home – dnt fancy ne1 else openin it 4 me
i wonder wha number it could be – any1 wana hazard a guess? i wont b able 2 get home for at least 2 weeks though :’-)
The news is in…This is the exact words of Blair himself posted on his website:
This most special bottle is filled with a base of a Special Nitro Blend that we made just for the B-99 it came in at 713,000 Units (That is amazing for a dry powder) Then that base is coated with 12,412,000 Scoville units of Fury,Finally topped off with a unique Pure Resin oil of 1.6 million SU. This bottle is then cork Finsihed and Sealed in Black & White Italian Resin and Hand Drizzled in Gold and Silver. Love It
That makes it either #2 or 3 in the hottest hot sauce scale doesn’t it? (I don’t include 16 Million cause it’s a powder). This stuff just keeps getting better and better.
Glair did forget to mention a few ingredients both on the bottle and on the website. Included in this bottle in addition to the stuff previously mentioned is blood, sweat, tears, a little love and pixie dust ๐
So that’s 14,725,000 Scoville? ๐ฎ
Hey Nick, time to update the Hottest Sauces list? B-99 should now clock in at #3. ๐ 14.725 million.
Blair*…oops
Yep – going to update the list soon – need to get the photos for it done first.
I wouldn’t say 14.725 mil., that’s just the different ingredients added up, but if mixed, it would be cooler than that due to them diluting one another. But hey, who’s counting, right? ๐
Ingredients are similar to the 2005 Holiday, just a little more kick!
B-99 #39 for sale on ebay
Link.
I am (still) thinking that the TV show OVERHAULIN could do a special show and “spruce up” a reserve bottle! It would be interesting to see what FOOSE could come up with???? (instead of paint, it would be an awesome “wax” job) – nothing bad intended here
Ryan – that’s how the Scovilles for the ’04 Holiday Reserve, the ’05 Halloween Reserve, etc were tallied…..adding up the Scovilles from the different layers. ๐
OK lads after some serrious leg work, I have aquired B-99 #81. nick how do I email you a pic of my Blair’s Shrine.
Mad – Just attach the images to an email and send it over to nick ‘@’ hotsauceblog.com – include a short description too
Ryan – Yeah, that’s how it’s usually done. Some lists of hottest sauces add it up like we’re doing here, others average it, and then there’s those that do an actual testing to get a precise measuring. It’s hot stuff, there’s no question about that, I just wonder what the actual SU rating is of the whole concoction shaken up so it’s mixed together. Its like adding more water to your lemonade. Its going to be less tart/sour if you add stuff to it, or like a habanero sauce with a tomato base won’t have as high a rating as straight up habanero. Its really not worth debating though.
I have #7 bottle here given as a gift and #40 that i had purchased for myself. I am looking for halloween ’04 and Caldera. If anyone has and willing to part with either, I am open to offers. e-mail me at thepmac@rogers.com. Please do not ask to purchase either bottle from me as there is no price tag for them. Only a possible trade. I refuse to make $ off of Blair’s work. I have a friend that wanted to surprise me at christmas with a holiday reserve, and I am extremely lucky as I thought he bought the bottle for himself. So I will only part with if it helps to complete the collection. #40 would trade for a halloween ’04 #7 I would trade for a caldera (I will ONLY part with one of the two bottles). Only other collectors would really be interested I guess. Not the people that purchase to flip for profit (not that there is anything wrong with doing that, its just not for me).
thepmac sounds familliar to me. Oh yeah, you just outbid me by a dollar on that #702 2am. Just 2 more seconds an I would have had ya beat. ๐ You ebay sniper. LOL.
Paul – I just want to say thank you for your stance on not selling the bottles for profit. I feel the same way. It makes me happy to know that you managed to get 2 bottles and not some mass ebay seller. Good luck in trading. I too would like to get my hands on either an 04 halloween or a caldera, but as I only purchase one bottle of each, I’ll never have anything to trade and can’t afford either at this point ๐
Hey Paul, you also have bottle #60 according to comment #14 made by you. How did you manage to purchase 2 of them (I know the third was a gift)?
Hey Nick, a thought occured to me as I was looking at the list of who’s got which B-99. Wouldn’t it be cool if there was some kind of registry on here of who has what bottles (signed and #’d stuff) so that people on HSB could see what others have and make offers/trades that way? Kinda like an extension of the collector’s corner. Just a thought.
Hey Ryan,
I like your last comment…I am already in the process of working on something like that.
Ryan & Chris – Yeah, had something like that going but then my designer dropped off the map – one of these days he’ll resurface and I can get it finished.
Nick – Have you checked the milk cartons lately? ๐
This B-99 $ looks a bit better, to bad its in eur
Link.
hey ryan I have bottle #60 and this is a differant paul
OOPS! my applogies . didn’t know there are two of you
B-99 #68 on ebay, and get this…seller claims it came in a holiday reserve box?! Pics of it are on the auction.
Link.
Yeah I thought that was weird too. I also thought it was kinda lame to act like that made it more rare. hahaha.
A rare occurance maybe, but the bottle is still only as rare as the rest of them…in my opinion. Speaking of which, did Blair sell #’s 1 and 99 and special prices like he did with other reserves? I don’t remember seeing anything like that and it really sickens me that Taste the Pain is trying to sell #99 for a minimum of $1500
So he’s claiming he got it for free and now wants $200+ for it?
Im going to go out on a limb here and may get bashed for it.
We all knock when someone lists a “great” bottle on ebay and seem upset that they are making a profit. This is valid, but the fact is if no one sold thier 2005 Holiday or B-99 then none of us would ever get the chance to own both.
We want to complain when we see a bottle up there, but most would admit that they bid on or at least want to so they can own one of the greats.
Afterall, most bottles are listed as an auction, so the price goes up along with the demand.
I am not saying I fully agree, but I am glad that there are a few out there willing to sell to us.
What an Idiot!!! What makes that anymore rare than anything else. Swap boxes with somebody else that has the other bottle then claim that you got a bottle shipped in a different box!!! LOL. WOW, now you both have a rare item! That’s pretty lame. I hope nobody bids on it to kinda teach the guy a lesson. Who does he think he’s fooling? And to think that he got it for free??? He sounds like he is a little naive. I’m sure Blair didn’t send it for free. He probably just didn’t see it on his credit card yet or he is trying to make everyone think that he has a Friend!!! Good Times…
Hey Paul, I just got #219 Caldera on Ebay, and wouldn’t you know it there is another on there already. Thought maybe you would like a chance to bid on this new listing if you hadn’t seen it on the auction block yet. Just trying to help a fellow collector by keeping my eyes and ears open.
Chris – I don’t mind people selling on ebay in general, there are exceptions and circumstances that come in to play before it starts to bother me. If somone is willing to pay the price that a seller sets (high starting bid) then more power to them. What pains me is that some of these are very difficult to come upon and should be in the hand of people that can appreciate them for what they, not how much money they can make off of it. I’m glad the people give us the opportunity to get a hold of such things, but that doesn’t mean I have to like the means to a desirable end.
Cheffy if your comment was directed to me about the bottle 219 and now another is up for auction on eBay. Thanks, however I cannot afford that. I know I could probably sell number 7 to help pay for most of a caldera, but I can’t/won’t. If someone does it because they want mine then by all means. I cannot pay for a caldera due to my financial situation right now, but I have the stance that I will not sell it to help pay for it. Blair and Karin have treated me really nice over the last year, and I will not sell something of theirs on eBay. I will not say I haven’t done it. But when I have in the past it was private sale and the funds went to other aspects of my collection. Hell I even got a great trade once for a Holiday reserve 05 for a 4am bottle. Thanks chris… dunno if he is a chris on this web site. This may not make sence to some of you. But I can only allow to let go of either bottle to improve my collection, if i sold it it would end up paying off a bill or sum shit :). Right now it is pretty nice ๐ only 13 bottles but i am happy with it. Dunno if my pics ever made it. Bit erics is lots nicer ๐ especially with his bottle #50 :). Note to Scott, about bottle #702 2am, my max bid was $150 so if that makes a difference, I really wanted it and would have dropped a load if i had to pay that but would have worked it out somehow. ๐ I like this post keep it up guys.
I just want to say that all you guys rock!!!!
This is truly a site where we are all passionate about not only hot sauce, but helping eachother out.
And thanks nick for hosting such a killer site!!!
eman
I just aquired (through alot of legwork) B-99 #81. It’s f&(king brilliant! Nick I hope you get my pics of “the shrine”. I guess it’s a tale of two evils. I myself would never sell anything in my “shrine” , trade maybe. It would have to be really worth it though. However if it weren’t for people selling on ebay and such, I’d never have half of my collection to enjoy. So, Yes I do get annoyed but delighted at the same time. Pain and Pleasure almost like Hummmm …. Hot Sauce! disclaimer note. I just got my B-99 so you can hit me in the head with a fry pan and I’ll still be happy (ps my wife did when she saw I brought more hot sauce).
Chris K. – If I’m not mistaken, you sold your Holiday Reserve #66 on ebay for $350! That makes your last comment sort of odd…
Anyone have a clue who owns B-99 #1? Did Blair keep it?
Would the owner of Caldera #19 for sale on inet please e-mail me. thepmac@rogers.com if you are part of this blog
Six more days until “cutting room floor”!!!!!! My stubby little fingers are crossed! BTW Happy Valentines Day to all.
Just received #82 ๐ chance e-mail to extremefood inquiring on availability of B-99 and out of the blue Karin calls and says one left….if I want it! Gone……
Just picked up my b-99 from Ups, I got bottle #20. wheee!!!… Damn Brokerage fee’s were $50, plus the $30 exchange, so all in all it cost me $180+
Worth Every Penny.! My first Reserve… =]

Btw… Andrew From Vancouver – Canada
2 thumbs up to Andrew and Rob S.
Each received a B-99.
Hey Andrew – thats a nice first reserve bottle to own.
Rob S – cool story on how you got one.
Andrew in the future request that they send USPS takes longer but no brokerage fees. UPS does it every time. For anyone in Canada do that
for all orders from Blair’s.
Hey we’re almost at a record thread here
Hey Nick I got B-99 #81 ๐ Do I get put up on the list??
Mad – Yeah, I’ll get you on the list tonight – Can only update it once a day with all the #’s that are coming in.
So no one knows where #1 is?
The FBI has it.
Its a matter of national security.
Hey Fellow Chiliheads, FYI—-#1 B-99 is in the Home of a long time Collector ….. On another note -I will have “N-59 Reserve” at the show in New Mexico .March 3-5 2006..Only 59 Bottles will be produced worldwide.(They look even cooler than the B-99)… It is on a First Come First Serve Basis, at the show only…. FEEL ALIVE …BLAIR
That’s it, gonna quit my job, sell my truck and hitchhike to NM…can’t let something cooler than the B-99 escape me ๐
Ummm, anyone have about 3 grand they can give me. LOL. I think that would be about how much I would need to take 3 days off of work and go to NM.
I wonder if Blair is flying???
If he packs these and takes them on the plane…oh would that be a heck of a loss if the airline lost that baggage???
OR, what if the delivery service loses the package???
Look out!
The show in NM will look like a Walmart the day after Thanksgiving.
Imagine the stampede to Blair’s booth?
To Scott: And anyone else that may care. ๐ in regards to the 2am #702. It just arrived, and I am pleased. However so you know the wax is cracked along the top back and it leaked a bit during shipping the obvious little chip on the forehead of the skull and a chunk of wax on the back of the drip that trails down the back of the bottle is missing. So it will be going to Blair for a rewax and facelift as original as I have confirmed with him that he will do it like original. If anyone was unaware that could be done, you just need to call him in advance to Karin to see if thedy can do it. Always do it 48 hours or better before the end of an auction so she can verify in case Blair is not available for a day or 2. Thanks Blair, this bottle will grace your shop one last time soon, and then be on my TV top (or display case if i can ever find one that holds the reserve cases and Holiday ’04 bottle…. Regards to all
Paul
FYI bottle # 50 B-99 belongs to an HSB member you might wanna add that to the list. To him… you look like an old man just like me :):):) haha enjoy
I’ll be there with bells on, plane tickets are already purchased, hotel reservations have been made and bags will be packed when I get home. This will make this years trip even better!!!!
I wonder when he will make them available to purchase??
P.S. the rewaxing service is not free it is generally $50USD plus shipping both ways.
Yeah it would be nice to go to that show to meet Blair and aquire one of those botle. Hats off to anyone that can manage it! If any one gets an extra bottle let me know ๐ try to get #40 ๐ i will trade my bottle #7 B-99 for it :).
I’m seriously considering going. If I do go, you better believe that I’m getting an N-59. ๐
For those interested in a 2005 Holiday. Here is one for a nice Buy it Now $.
Link.
Wow that sold quickly! hahaha
NM here I come
Hey did we make a record yet?
I’m soooo gutted. Why can’t I live in America!!!! I want an N-99
Even those of us in the states are gonna have a hard tome getting a hold of one of those. Btw, its N-59
Ryan is going to have a hard “tome getting a hold of one of those”.
everyone else will just have a hard time…
yes, yes I am ๐
I have bottle #71 B-99, WOOHOO! Please add me to the list…
Bilal
So who is going to the Fiery Foods show FOR SURE (you’ve already purchased plane tickets, etc)?
Add me to the list, I got #61 B-99 on Ebay. As far as the Fiery Food Show is concerned, me and my business partner will be there for sure. We have gone the last 2 times and this trip will make #3. Were looking forward to meeting Blair and hopefully getting a couple of N-59’s.
I would love to join you guys but i have a wedding to go to that weekend. ๐
Do not worry eman, I am sure there will be 1 or 2 bottles for guys like yourself and the d00d that has the #1 4am #1 6am and #3 5am (now displayed on the cutting room floor, I think those are the 3 bottle numbers, bugger I am jealous..but in a good way ๐ ) Blair I would hope will offer the collector with one of the worlds largest collections of his product a bottle. Hell I hope he does! ๐
Well first of all, Me and the fam will be in ALBURKIRKEY on Thurs. the 2. Can’t wait! The show shold be a blast and I get to meet all my chillifriends on the HSB. Second, – eman, If Blair lets us, I’ll pick you up one (N-59). Drop me an email. Third – Nick this has to be a record thread here.
I was thinking the same thing, if Blair will let me I would pick-up an extra N-59 for a fellow chilehead and get it to them after the show.
MAD,that would be awesome!!!!!shoot me an email and i will talk to you
eman1stkc@earthlink.net
Cheffy if you would I would like to take you up on that if Blair allows that! pmacdonald@ruci.ca
You might already have someone in mind but if not I would like to be on the short list ๐
If its not over $150 per bottle, someone is willing, and Blair would allow it, I would like to get an N-59 I’m open to terms of compensation.
If anyone’s willing to pick me up a bottle of N-59, I’d be happy to PayPal them the money ASAP after it’s bought. ryan@jamesryanbell.com
From Blair’s Site: N-59 cost is $100 only at the show:
N-59 Reserve
Blair’s makes only 59 Bottles Of these Mega Hot Reserves. Feel Alive! These bottles will only be available March 3-5 2006 at the Fiery Foods Show in Albequerque, New Mexico. These will be available for $100.00 at the show only. NOT FOR SALE ONLINE!
Hey guys! Blair’s site has the logo for the N-59 up. They’re gonna be $100 a pop. I can’t make it to the show, but it someone would be kind enough to pick one up for me, I’ll throw in an extra $50 on top of the cost of the bottle and shipping. If someone is willing, E-mail me at ryanhugh@hotmail.com to let me know how you would like to handle the transaction.
Surely we have had to have broken some kind of record on this post!!! Lets try to break 200…
yo pmac, got the package today – everything good!
nick, did you get the chili recipe i sent you?
eman, really good to hear. Sorry it took so long d00d. ENJOY!
Ron Menin B99 #6 from blairs site add em to the list boss ๐
Put the Creator down for B-99 #96.
I finally get to see my B-99 on wednesday night!! Its been sitting at home waiting for weeks now. I still keep wondering what number it may be
B-99 # 80 here
Hey Nick I hope we set a record here
There ya go entry #194 we got to top #200.
Hey any word from BLAIR? I hear he’s going to be in for Saturday only.
I hope we can get in a beer or two
So cool
I was just looking at extremefood.com and Blair’s got “the shrine” up on the collector’s corner. He put up a pic of me and Jr. as wel. I was trying to steal Jr’s beer
Anyone buying DEFCON ZERO Batch #2 at the show, and feel like picking me up a bottle – we can discuss compensation.
I do not want to miss out!!!!
-=john=-
John, just tell your wife you’re going out with the guys on Friday night (and fly out), and that you ran out of gas, and show up back home on Saturday evening.
I can’t wait
I’ already in vacation mode
huvason
If the CREATOR would’nt mind I’ll pick one up for you.
Hey CREATOR when are you flying out. I’m leaving from JFK on Thursday, at 2:55 (airport bar). We have to stop in CINCINATTY
Almost at 200
Creator – I’d love to but I’d probably get shot. I have twirling competition with the girls this weekend, otherwise i’d be going.
Although I do only have to be there SUNDAY……
CREATOR, for those of us less fortunate that can’t make it to the show, hows about giving us your cell # so that we could put in a phone order while your at the show. Kinda like a phone in auction, except it’s at fixed price…I can’t belive that I’ve been reduced to such desperate soul.
Mad,
That would be great if you can do it. Just let me know how you want to handle payment, etc. Not sure how much the Creator is charging. Either post here or email (huvason_at_aol.com)
-=john=-
Preach on Tracy, preach on….
Cheapest flight is $454 from JFK or Laguardia. Plus i’d have to sleep on the steps of the convention center floor ๐
I’ll hook up with some of you at the next DEFCON day.
Have fun all.
-=john=-
Tracy, this is just getting funny. If I posted my cell number on here, I’d have nothing left to sell at the show. As I’ve told a few individuals (you know who you are), I may have to do something special if we do indeed sell out at the show. Stay tuned…
Mad, we’re shooting out of Newark around 6pm tomorrow. I think we’re getting in about 10:30 in NM (their time). Just in time to start drinking!
John, NOW you’re thinking. Hell, we’re not flying back until Monday night, just in time to keep drinking! LOL!
He’s rubbing it in huvason!
Hey Creator, if we have a split personality, can we get more than one?? hee hee
You can get 2 half bottles, which equal a whole.
Damn Def..you are a pretty smart feller…
Is there anywhere you can get Guinness In ALBERKERKEY
Hey Tracy, dont you have some pull with the Creator???
Afterall, you now sell his sauce.
CREATOR
Make sure you have a Defcon 0 for me
Heres an idea (its risky though).
Go here:
http://www.abqtrib.com/
and place a classified ad that someone can make some extra $ if they pick-up and send you a bottle?
huvason
Look if I can get one for you, give me your address and I’ll send it out. Just send me a check for whatever it cost me Lets see – air fare, hotel – ๐ just kidding
Sombody told me there’s alot of Indian stuff out there. I got to buy one of those big hats with all the feathers in it. I’ll bring that home to ireland so I can do a rain dance
Sorry that’s IRELAND and thats my 132nd comment
Hummm should i go for 145???
Nick are you reading this? When are you going out? I can’t wait to meet everyone.
Mad,
How to I contact you? After seeing theses pictures, I’m not posting my address here! ๐
Yeah – I’ll do a post tomorrow and gather everyones info for ABQ
Hey Mad, heres #146.
Since I’m tied for 13th spot with two others, this should bump me up two positions to #11 on the commontater ladder.
YES! it worked. Nick is gonna need to put a lock on this thing while he’s away. I can see that those of us, LEFT BEHIND, this weekend could be extremely bored and find ourselves competing for top spot on the list..
Very funny. I see it now:
Tracy C #1
Huvason #2
Yes, those of us left behind from all the NM fun…
Its on Tracy. I’m not going down without a fight ๐
How many of us are not actually going to make it to NM?
Maybe we should have our own private label limited edition hot sauce that we will sell here? lol
The ones in NM will be having too much fun to check the internet.
What do you think???
The rest of the folks will come back and this post will have over 500 comments…
LOL, that would rock, but who’s going to produce it?
FYI——I will be at the NM Show with N-59 on Friday should be by 6pm (Never know with flying, I will in Dallas for 1 day before and I would not to lose the boxes of N-59 I chose not to Risk Shipping them ) The Reserves are really Special. I am looking forward to them finding 59 new homes….The next New Reserve will not be for some time…..So Please Enjoy these… On another collectors note-New Death Sauce Labels (ALL) are not far away, as well as an ALL NEW custom Reserve Bottle. Hang tight to your Classics. See ya Your Chilipal BLAIR—-FEEL ALIVE
Man, I want my home to be an N-59 home, but there’s no way I can be there. Oh well, another on the list of never haves
Is Blair saying all Death sauces are getting new labels…better get some extra (soon to be old label) bottles now.
In ref to comment 226. I can call your employer!! lol….noo I wouldn’t do that…just keep your helmet on!
Do you guys actually think I’m going to leave you alone all weekend? Ha ha! I’ll be posting daily about the show and the folks partying – so you’ll all feel like you were there. I’ve made sure to double check that the resort has wireless internet…
My imediate supervisor knows what I do on here. He himself surfs the net all day long. Nya Nya Nya The joys of working in commercial credit ๐
Ryan, maybe Blair should make the rest of us an Not-XX (XX= number of us not going)
if you REALLY wanted to make me feel like I was there you would pick me up an N-59 **bats eyelashes**
Or, the rest of us can pitch in and commission one of our idols to produce a sauce just for us?
You know us collectors. we love a limited / signed sauce.
Now I am thinking…lets put your pic on the bottle (ryan)
this would symbolize what the rest of us are doing while the party in NM is going on?
I am willing to put in $50-100 for a super limited bottle!
Am I crazy? (just a chilehead) I am willing to spend $ on a bottle that doesnt even exist yet.
Chris, I think you’re catching the same fever that Eman and myself have been suffering. Soon you too will be taking pictures of yourself in compromising situations…its only a matter of time. Better get your affairs in order ๐
Not quite up to the picture point yet…thanks for the warning though…
Fever, yes…need a new cure / sauce (I think the antidote is an N-59 or a Defcon 0)
here is one more ryan…(and everyone)
we could (dont laugh, its just an idea) all agree on a bottle to use.
each of us buys a bottle and signs it…we then send it to the next person on the list and so on.
in a couple of weeks (ending around the same time), we would each have a limited and unique bottle of hot sauce and it would be signed by all the die-hard chileheads on HSB???
only cost is the original bottle – use something “normal” and the cost to ship (over and over again) still under 100 bucks
what do you think? its a bottle that no one else could produce since all of us hand signed it.
That is a killer idea!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy c#$p MAD, I see you have been busy!!!!!!!
Only 2 behind.
Who would end up with the final bottle though?
I like the idea. Let’s get to work on it. We’ll figure out the details in the coming days.
everyone would end up with one.
see, each of us starts with a bottle of sauce (we need to decide which one and each buy one)
We sign it and send to next person (need to make a list of all involved and get addresses and maybe include that “paper” in the box with the sauce.
this would go on until everyone signed all the bottles
we would each end up signing X amount of bottles and we would all end up with “a signed by all bottle”.
and, each bottle would be just a bit different because of where we sign em..need to set some rules though. only sign your name and no extra comments
we need alll the space for everyones signature.
this will mean alot of trips to the post office but its worth it
we could do it by the case, but this way each of us always has a bottle and no cheating.
if you are in you must complete the rotation.
everyone needs to end up with a botlle signed by all
we can work on further details and would need to email each other as we dont want addresses on the blog
anyone in doubt, just think a bottle of hot sauce signed by the world’s most die-hard chileheads..most bottles are only signed by 1 person
how cool is that
I am getting way to excited about this…
(this is stemming from the bottle i got signed by the mmr morning show)
we could use a Blairs bottle or an HSB bottle???
Alright then, you guys pick out a sauce and let me know. I can start things off here since I have access to more then a few cases. We need to get a list of addresses & names together first of all that would be interested.
O i can see it now…the great debate of 2006
I’m a thinkn’ hot blog sauce!
Nick, i just shot you an email
I’m in. sounds like a great idea (not mention pretty cool).
-=john=-
YES!!!! 2nd place….eat my dust
eman…you start…send me the caldera proto…I’ll sign it and send it to the next person
how do we want to handle the names and addresses?
e-mail them to Nick?
I am willing to maintain the list if Nicks too busy…
either is fine with me…
do we want to do it a case (or cases depending on how many are in)
meaning Nick sends them to someone and then so on…
or do we want to do it where everyone gets/ sends out a single bottle at a time?
some pros and cons
doing a single bottle means more trips to the post office or ups but it means we each end up with one at the same time.
doing a case at once means less trips to mail it but it means we need to divy them up at the end
I am guessing that everyone that is in will agree to complete the cycle. This is the honor system. Not that someone would, but if we do a case at a time and someone bails out, it would end there. And we would all be waiting at your doorstep someday!
A single bottle is extra security for all of us. (not that we need it, but we need to be careful if we let not frequent HSB’rs in.
Once we have the list together, we can e-mail it to everyone involved so we know where to mail to next.
Hey Tracy, Im next on the list so I will ask you now.
When are you going to mail the prototype Caldera to me???
look at this… we are making our own fame
our signatures by themselves dont mean much, but together we have a collectible bottle
“emanโฆyou startโฆsend me the caldera protoโฆIโll sign it and send it to the next person ”
Funny ๐
all right all right…i asked the caldera if he would like to go on a trip (going where no hot sauce has gone before) but he likes it right where he is
oh god,now i am talking to them
better yet, it answered you!!!!
shipping cases over and over again…probably a bad idea. Singles would be best.. it could still get expensive. The shipping route would have to be planned out so as to not be zig zagging these bottles all over the place.
i think one at a time would be much better also,we are going to have to figure how they will get to their owner after they are signed too
any ideas?
This thread has gotten bizarre.
Here’s my $0.02:
First we pick out a bottle. I vote for a hot blog sauce (it would be apropriate)
Second, we e-mail our addy’s (including e-mail address to make it easier to forward) to a person an elected official with the same subject line so it is identifiable if it ends up in someone’s junk e-mail.
Each person purchases 1 bottle of the voted upon sauce.
The person which receives everyone’s mailing address then forwards a complete list of all addresses to each participating person.
When each person receives the mailing list, print it off imediately so that everyon has the same list and the addresses are in the same order.
Each person signs their bottle. crosses out their address and mails their bottle and their list to the address that follows theirs on the list.
For you helmet wearers, if your address is at the bottom of the list, you would send it to the person at the top of the list.
When you receive the next bottle from someone else, send it to the address under the last one scratched off.
Once you recieve a bottle with a list that has all the addresses crossed out, you keep that bottle because it has completed its journey.
I know thats a lot to read, but its quite simple. Let me know what you guys think.
Correction to my last post. When you receive a bottle with a list that has everything scratched off EXCEPT your address, you’ll need to sign it yourself and THEN it will be complete. By following these directions, nobody would end up with the bottle they originally purchased, but everybody would end up with a unique, and priceless bottle. Not only that, but if we went with the Hot Blog Sauce, think of all the money that would go to the American Cancer Society…we would not only be making history, but helping a great cause.
amen my brother!
so when do we start?
hey creator, don’t you talk to the defcon?
164… take that MAD he he
Well, I say we start next week. If there’s no objection, or unless someone else wants to take charge of this, I’ll handle the e-mailing. Anyone that wants in on this e-mail me your mailing address and e-mail address at
ryanhugh@hotmail.com
Put in the subject line “Blogger Sauce”. I, unless someone else wants this honor, will compile a master list of addresses and forward the list to all participants and we’ll go from there. Please be sure to type your e-mail address in the message portion of the e-mail where you will be typing your mailing address. My e-mail will display your name and not your e-mail address. It would make it a lot easier to copy and paste into a master list as I get ready to e-mail all participants.
Ya know, when I left the office today, I had an 80 post lead. Now its cut down to about 60…I’m having an off night, but watch out, I’ll be back!
here’s something else to make it interesting…when you ship a sauce to the next guy..add a bottle of beer to the box for them to enjoy while they are signing the bottle!!!
Hey, we’re trying to keep the shipping cost low yo ๐
Mmmmm…lets apply a little ‘rithmatic to the following situation….
MSK is retired and spends an average of 8 to 10 hours daily surfing the internet on behalf of his hot sauce collection. Every so often he clicks on the HSB to see if any comments have been posted. With much interest he follows the banter regarding the “Top 20 Commenters”. While joining the race was never a consideration, he has pondered the opportunities. For the sake of dealing with 1 number, lets assume MSK spends 9 hours at the computer in a single day. Subtract a 10 minute coffee break per hour to arrive at a grand total of 450 minutes. Now…the problem is could he post one comment per minute? Would he have the stamina to perform such a feat?
Hmmmmmmmm……..Ponder! Ponder! Ponder! ๐
There’s now an official post on the Ultimate Blogger Sauce
Eman, I used to speak to the sauce, but after the creation of the capsaicin-based homunculus (who will be attending the show), I leave it up to him. Being capsaicin-based, he is much more fluent in sauce-ese.
Wow!!! What a thread!!!
Hey Creator, will you be at the show and set-up on Friday???? I have excited to get all your sauces for my collection since Nick first posted about them, and I don’t want to miss a chance to get them before the inevitable sell out I’m sure you’ll be enjoying. Not to mention that I have met all the “Sauce Masters”, (Blair, Jim Cambell, Dave, CaJohn etc…), and it would be cool to add anothe master to the list.
Hi Cheffy, yup we’ll be set up and ready to go on Friday. We’re heading in tonight, just in time to drink a bunch of beers when we land.
As for calling me a “master”, I’m blushing. I do hope for a sell out, that would be awesome. If my memory isn’t fading again, we’re booth #306. I’ve been psyched about this weekend for a while now. Considering it’s our first Fiery Foods show, I’m am determined to make it a memorable one.
Creator, you getting out just ahead of the ice due to hit tomorrow?
Enjoy the weather in NM while some of us are stuck back here.
Your damn right, I turned on the weather channel this morning and broke out into a little chuckle. I’ll be sure to have a few ice cold ones, so as to keep the memories of the north fresh in my mind. Oops, damn cynicism again…What else is new?
Since I will be working from home tomorrow, I should get on a plane and work from NM…Whats a couple of thousand miles anyway?
Put me on the list please Nick – I have #18 !!!!!! My lowest Blair’s yet
I can’t wait for Blair’s next reserve – obviously I won’t be making it to get an N-59 so I’m just gona have to wait for the next – Don’t think a student loan will even fund the $$$ that the N-59 will go for on Ebay as no doubt a few will end up on there
Hey everyone. My B-99 is now under digital lock in my safe at home. Didn’t want to risk any breakage of the wax on a trip from Nottingham to Cardiff (and by my parents or brother). I’ll have to send Nick some amusing pics I took before I left. I caught my dad moving it around several times whilst at home and he almost broke some of the wax!!!
#18. I’m not on the list Nick. Thanks
ATTN ALL
First offering of b-99 #64 from emans cabnet itself. This will go to the lucky bidder of $350 tonight only. Tomorrow it goes on ebay.
Anyone interested in #1? Was thinking of ebay, but wanted to ask here first. Not sure if I am going to let it go or not.
[Comment ID #18919 Quote]
Eman, did you ever end up listing this??
[Comment ID #19527 Quote]
Of course I’m very interested – are you looking for trade or sale Mr. Hidden?
[Comment ID #19535 Quote]
Yeah Mr.Hidden plz give us details
#6 – Rob Menin
#11 – Tracy C.
#14 – Ryan H.
#18 – MattUK
Anyone here looking to trade a sub #20 B-99 for an N-59. I require a number under 20 for another offer I have under way. Person already has an N-59. Those listed above or anyone not on the list with a bottle in the number range, please ask nick for my e-mail address.
Sorry Pmac, I have only one B-99 and at this point I can’t afford to replace it. Besides that, my wife informed me that she would kill me if I did such a thing.
Pmac, I have to ask, are you insane, or do you have more than one N-59? If I had only one, it would have to be a pretty sweet deal to get me to trade it.
[Comment ID #19534 Quote]
I haven’t had time yet. Been going crazy trying to get the babys room built. Should be tomorrow.
I’m guessing you have another one, or one on the way Eman?
First one!!!! Due May 28th!

speaking of, how is the other little guy doing, he fitting in?
Eman, I was referring to the B-99, not the baby ๐ but good to hear ๐

Oh… got a b-99 going on ebay probably tomorrow.
[Comment ID #19645 Quote]
Yup…he is doing fine…they just got done playing hide and seek and now are playing pin the tail on the caldera….those kids…they never stop.

How did you manage that? If I may be so bold.
Well I bought one at a retail outlet.
trading did the rest.
Ahhh… Well done sir.
Yeah well, .. I no longer have a 4AM so we shall see how it all pans out in the long run.
I no longer have a 4AM
OUCH!
[Comment ID #19676 Quote]
[Comment ID #19678 Quote]
Damn…I hope all works out for you. You’re a braver soul than I.
pmac
are you a collector of specific numbers? just wondering what else you might take in trade for an N-59?
2 digit 4AM, 2 digit bottle of caldera, Halloween ’04 #40 or lower, There are a couple of rare 5oz bottles I would consider too.
[Comment ID #19680 Quote]
I have a total of 7 #40’s and would like to improve on that
If anyone feels this would interest them, please feel free to contact Nick L. for my email address and make me offers, I do not feel that trading a 59 bottle reserve for a 99, 499, or 999 bottle is by or in any way unfair. Else I would not have done it. ๐
“59 bottle reserve for a 99, 499, or 999 bottle” should read
“59 bottle reserve for a 99, 499, or 999 bottle reserve”
[Comment ID #19527 Quote]
I am very interested for purchase or trade. Contact me thru Nick if you want to pull the trigger.
[Comment ID #19596 Quote]
That sounds so tempting – I’m gona have to have a good think if the offers still there
hi does anyone know why many of the higher numbered bottles have feel alive on them but as far as I know none of the lower numbered 1s?
Now I’m a little upset. The guy (busniess) that got B-99 #99 and #91 also got #1. Yes…NUMBER F’N ONE! which is now up for auction on ebay. That’s just not right. I’ve actually met this guy and can’t wait til the Portland Saturday Market opens up. He has a booth there and sells at incredibly inflated prices. And here’s the kicker. In a conversation I had with him last year, he was telling me about how he hords Blair’s reserves until the price skyrockets so he can make a huge profit. Granted, that’s his right to do, but this guy is not a real collector if he’s selling #1 of anything. I feel a little ill…
OK, let me say a little something here in my defense.
To begin with, I am not the guy at the Saturday Market. I do all of my sales out of my restaurant in Manzanita, on the coast.
As for how I got the numbers I have, I purchased the #91 just the same as everyone else, and Blair contacted me, as I am one of his oldest customers, and asked if I would be interested in the #1 and #99 (for a very premium price, believe me). I had seen these types of offers for other reserve sauces before on his web site, but I had never taken the plunge and purchased them. This time I did. I had planned on keeping the #1 (because yes, I am a collector, and have been for over 15 years) and selling the #99, but the interest wasn’t there for the #99.
Now, I am forced to sell a few bottles to do a huge remodel on my restaurant/residence, and I chose to sell my low numbered CALDERA, the B-99, and some other bottles to help pay for the work. If that is wrong, I am sorry.
I was never a whorder of Blair’s products until they were sold out on extremefood.com itself. I admit that I did buy quite a few of each of the ‘am’ sauces when they were available, but I sold them on the Taste The Pain web site for the same prices as everyone else, and did not raise the price until after Blair ran out. I have never tried to inflate others prices. My reason for the high price I ask on my web site is that I have so few, and they are part of my collection, I don’t really want to get rid of them. But, if someone is willing to pay the prices, I will make the deal. It is still a business.
I have explained all of this to Nick and pmac, the only people that actually took the time to ask me in the first place. If I am doing something that you don’t approve of, I am sorry. I enjoy the HSB, and like to keep up with what others are doing with their sauces.
But, let me reiterate this one point:
I am not the Saturday Market seller. I have no affiliation with him or his business practices, whatever they may be. I am a hot sauce lover and collector, but at the same time, I do sell hot sauce as part of my business (just as I believe Nick does, right?).
I look forward to reading your response, Ryan, as well as the comments of any others. And I would like to continue to peruse and occasionally post on the HSB, but if it feels like I am not welcome, then I will not bother you again.
Thank you for allowing me the forum to explain my reasoning. Have a great weekend.
And thanks Nick! I appreciate your confidence and advice.
Jeff
Taste The Pain
To add to this comment, I would like you to note as the person that started the unfortunate chain of events to lead to him having to defend himself!, I ended up buying 2 of the bottles listed on eBay part because I wanted them no doubt, also part to show that after a number of onging communications between us that I have come to realise I can have confidence in buying his product. To show others that you should not hesitate purchasing product from him on eBay. It was my drunken error ๐ But I now am the soon holder of a great numbered Caldera………FINALLY! Holly crap it took long enough. If any of you tell my wife/girlfriend what I paid for this I will hunt you down like the dogs I know you are and, well … quite frankly, … well ok probably nothing, but I am a big guy so i will sweat on you or something from the effort of trying to catch you. hehe thats all i got ๐ good night all have a good one!
To defend TTP, if I was offered a Blair’s product and was able to make a good profit in doing so, I would. He’s a businessman making money. Just because he’s on the one guy Blair goes to offer great products does not make him any less of a chilihead nor collector.

YES…..I do Keep number 30 for most all..The only time I do not have number 30 is when it slips through after I sign…(To keep the numbers accurate I sign in lots of 36 bottles) If I forget to remove it from the tray or my wharehouse does……It ends up in a Chilipepper Home other than mine…….Feel Alive Blair
