Official N2-59 Thread

Alright, you know the story. Only 59 of these puppies were made and they were only available for purchase at the 2007 Fiery Foods Show. And they went fast! The wax on the N2-59 is done in purple and white, keeping in a similar style to the orginal N-59.

I just started collecting hot sauces a few months ago and I must say, I think this is going to get Expensive…lol. Blair collectables seem to have the best quality and the different colored waxes used on them are very pleasing to the eyes. The melted wax over the skull is a nice touch. The plastic boxes they come with are also a nice idea to keep the dust off of our presious bottles of pleasure. Now, where to put these things….?

Another note to my last posting, I just wanted to make note that even thow I just started to “Collect” Hot Sauces a few months ago, i just wanted to make note that I have been a hot sauce lover since i was about 16. Thats how old I was when I started to eat out at restarants with friends and Mexican was allways my favorite. I would allways ask for their Hottest Hot Sauce they had and loved every bit of it. My friends use to bet me that I couldn’t eat a whole small bowl of jalapinos with hot sauce added to it and I allways won their bets. I did pay for it a few hours later if you know what I mean. You see, I was brought up in a family where my father hated all spices so my mother made all foods as bland and dull as possible. So when I discovered Hot Spicey stuff in my teens, as much as I loved it so, I had no amune system to handle it. So I have taken the pain ever since. Now for the REAL PAIN. You see, about 10 years ago, I was in Las Vegas and I ran to the first Mexican restaraunt I could find. It was a small one in the Forum shops at Caesars Palace called “La Salsa”. They had a Sala Bar with many choices of hot sauces so guess which one I went for….yup, the Hottest with all kinds of warnings around it. I drowned my Super Macho Burrito Grande with their so called Extremly Hot Hot Sauce…..Well, I was in my glory, it was so hot that sweat was pooring out of every poor in my body, and I loved every bit of it. Man did I “Feel Alive”. It was by far the Hottest hot sauce I every had and I loved it…..for awhile. Well, guess you know what happened a few hours later…. (I just bought a hot sauce called: “Ass in the Tub Armageddon”) believe me, thats exactly what I tried in my hotel room bathtub, and it didn’t help much. Being an eastcost guy, I didn’t realize how Hot, Hot really is. Well needless to say, I know now, but a little too late as since then, I can’t even handle some mild hot sauce without paying the price. (I must have burned a gasket or something) I still Love hot sauce, and on Friday night sometimes, I have some Medium hot sauce on chilli fries or nachos. I won’t bother with mild stuff because why bother….but I do pay for the pleasure. I will never know what all these Mega Hot type sauces taste like as I’m sure they will Kill me for sure but I can at least collect them and try to enjoy my hot sauces as best as I can.

Ps, If anybody knows any tricks on how to handle the after effect of hot sauce, please let me know because all the east cost people around here have NO IDEA what HOT hot sauce is.

Thanks again and….try not too laugh too hard….aaa, Go Ahead 🙂

Some of the hottest sauces in the world ( Blair’s extract sauces, Defcon Zero, just to name a cpl ) come from the East Coast ( Jersey ) and you have many chiliheads in the region. Trust me, they know how to handle their hot sauces, lol.

Follow Brets advise and visit JJ’s in August, it will be a chili school for you, and the people are all great !!!

Sound like fun, I’ll ask some of my friends and see if they would be up for it. Tabasco is HOT to them but they do like beer and a good party. We are from New Hampshire and around here trying to find a good mexican restarant is impossible (they use hamburg and never real beaf like I could get out west and their only hot sauce offered is tabasco) and as sad as it is, I’m probably the only guy I know that likes HOT stuff even slightly close to the levels you people seem to enjoy, but who knows, meeting all you people might just be what us bland eating party animals need. I’ll see if I can get someone to go with me.

PS, I’m the only person I know (friends, family, coworkers ect..) that collect hot sauces and they think I’m nuts for spending about $1200 so far. Hey, I like it and it would be nice to meet other people that do also.

Thanks for the responses and I hope to meet you all soon , Steve C
