The first thing I do with a new sauce is smell it, this ones very unusual… A curry Christmas cake! The smell comes from raisins and apple and I’m guessing a little cinnamon. These fruit are noticeable in the taste, especially the raisins. The burn is spiky, vicious and provided by extract, which itself can’t be tasted.

This sauce has no fresh peppers and uses extract only to provide the heat. With peppers topping 1.2 million scovilles nowadays I don’t think there’s any need for the stuff. Note to self, check ingredients before buying!
